He won this class at Campbell Springs; has won Deep Run Intro. perpetual trophy  with best dressage score over everyone! of 25 and clear jumping; won Calais; won Millington (intro. and Beg. novice); and won Brookhill;  we've placed 1st, second, third, at Chestnut Oaks.  However, haven't gone beg. novice with x-c yet, life has gotten in the way!  I'll try and come up with a better pix.  These are all just schooling shows, but it's a start.  Was high point beg. novice with Colby CVACTA.

I have been riding with Laine for about 2 and a half years. Although I have been riding and competing in various disciplines for many years, the progress I have made while working with Laine has been remarkable. My horses are all much happier and have a notably more positive attitude toward their work. Laine's professionalism, work ethic and high standards in combination with her excellent teaching skills have made the difference. As an added bonus, because of her international riding level, Laine works with the best trainers in the world and I am the lucky recipient of her generosity as she shares what she has learned. Thanks Laine!

Among my competitive accomplishments while working with Laine include:
Sport Horse Amateur Challenge Reserve Champion - Dressage at Lexington 1st level with Lance
    (Scores to 65%),
1st Level USDF Rider Performance Award
USDF Dover Medal, 2nd Level with London Lady (Sophie)
High Score Champion, 2nd Level with London Lady (Scores to 68%)
Virginia Dressage Association 3rd Level Reserve Champion (Charlottesville Chapter)
USDF Bronze Medal

Along the way we have collected many blue and red ribbons and have had more fun at the shows than I could have ever imagined. Thank you Laine!

I am 52 years old and I should have never purchased a 5 year old with 60 days under saddle…..  Having ridden most of my adult life for pleasure I made my purchase with over confidence and a great deal of ignorance.    I love my horse, I purchased him in September of 2000 and we have had many a hard lesson and I have literally hit the wall numerous times.   I contacted Lainey in 2004 when he was so unruly many refused to train or ride him.    Lainey has always been there to soften the blows and school my horse when he was too difficult for me to ride and school me on his better days.   We have shown Intro. Division in dressage schooling shows and won the Charlottesville Intro. Division in 2004 (Champion) and Reserve in 2005 and placed in the year-end awards VADA both years.   For a change of pace, we showed hunter shows during 2007 in pleasure classes.  This was a great way for Gem to do something different and see other things.

Gem is coming along well now, and showing Training Level in local dressage schooling shows.  It has been a long and sometimes difficult road – Lainey is a wonderfully accomplished rider and has done a wonderful job with Gem.  It is always a pleasure to watch her school my horse – at these times I can reflect to what he was and now see him for what he is, for he is truly unrecognizable as the same horse from 4 years ago.

I've followed my daughter Jessica around the hunter world for the last 14 years.  It was by pure coincidence that we attended a clinic at Lainey's beautiful farm and were allowed the privilege to see her ride.  One thing after another, and I was finally in a position where I could give up the hunters (something I wasn't that good at anyway), purchase a lovely dressage horse and get to serious WORK.
I've ridden with Lainey for less than a year and she's already inspired me to attempt Level 1.  My scores in Intro are consistently improving and I actually managed a year end award at one of the schooling venues.
Lainey's enthusiasm is contagious.  She has the remarkable ability to make me want to work harder.  She has the uncanny ability to clearly communicate exactly what's necessary for a beautiful job well done!!
We love you Lainey!
